After the long journey overseas, I found myself boarding a smaller plane (Airbus 321), and on my way to a place that many of my co-workers who had served in the military referred to as “The Rock.” Knowing little to nothing about the nation I was going, other than Okinawa has a very strong military presence there and my daughter was waiting for me at the airport, off I was back into the skies…..
